The Team Structure within WMD address levels of respect earned among peers, and have little to do with “authority and giving orders”.
WMD rarely requires anyone to give orders, or “direct” the action. We have worked together for so long in so many games, in many cases we simply develop a rhythm and can tell what each other will do often before we do it.
This path, is to give you a track to run on for acceptance, and earning the respect of WMD’s SpecWar.
Actions speak louder than words. Respect here is earned, not demanded.
Grunt.
New players who want to join WMD start out as a Grunt. Grunts are not members of WMD. To be accepted in WMD a Grunt will need to gain the respect of the Veterans and SpecWar. This is a probationary period where you are under review. Suspect. Yet to be proven, in battle, in loyalty, and in competence.
Show us you understand the WMD way…or hit the road and become a target. Its not an easy road, and WMD does not accept just anyone into our ranks. Advancement is based on your propensity to contribute to the team, your attitude, understanding, and application of our core values, and combat trials.
Member.
A WMD Member has proven to understand the “WMD Way”, has been around long enough to earn the respect of Veterans and SpecWar. You have proven to understand that Team is Greater than Self, believe it, and apply it.
To become a member a person must be recommended by a Veteran or SpecWar.
Veteran.
A WMD Veteran member has been around the block in WMD, understands, applies, and enforces WMD Core Values with Members and Grunts. Often times Veterans have been with WMD for years, and have seen their fair share of battles under the WMD banner, and proven their ability to kick ass and take names on the battlefield. Candidate in the running for SpecWar.
To become a Veteran, a Member must have the recommendation of two SpecWar.
SpecWar.
A WMD SpecWar member has earned the highest level of respect and admiration amongst his peers in WMD, his contributions and skills have been recognized, sometimes over years of service, and is a permanent guildmate.
No SpecWar holds higher authority than any other, and each SpecWar respects his peers, knowing this is not easily earned.
A SpecWar cannot be removed from WMD for anything other than gross violations of the Core Values. He commands respect not because he demands it, but because he has earned it. Always enforces WMD Core Values. SpecWar is the top of the food chain…and does not take lip from anyone.
To become SpecWar a Veteran must have the recommendation of three SpecWar.
